Product description
The LuxaLight Industrial LED Fixture delivers green light with a peak at 524 nm (band 515–530 nm) and is built as an integrated assembly with an aluminium PCB, passive aluminium heatsink and transparent PMMA cover. It contains 108 high-density 2835 LEDs and is intended for OEMs, machine builders and system integrators requiring an industrial monochromatic green light source for inspection, vision and research applications.
The transparent PMMA cover combines mechanical protection against dust, moisture and industrial contamination with high optical transmission in the visible range, preserving the original light characteristics of the 525 nm LEDs. This configuration is suited for splash-resistant industrial environments; for wash-down compatibility, pharma or heavy food processing, a version with water-cooled stainless steel 316 housing is available within the same modular platform.
Applications
Machine vision and image processing — The 524 nm peak aligns with the sensitivity peak of many CMOS and CCD camera sensors, yielding stable image processing and favourable signal-to-noise ratios. At 15 cm working distance the fixture delivers 34,120 lx, sufficient for fast-moving inspection lines with short exposure times. At longer working distances the output remains usable for wider field-of-view configurations, with 14,210 lx at 25 cm.
Industrial inspection and contrast enhancement — Monochromatic green light enhances contrast for surface inspection of metals, plastics and layered materials, particularly where red or blue component spectra in the object need to be visually suppressed. At a typical inspection distance of 10 cm the fixture produces 66,190 lx and 132.7 W/m² irradiance, well sufficient for edge recognition and defect detection at high cycle times.
Horticultural research and supplemental lighting — The 525 nm peak penetrates deeper into the canopy than red or blue light and is used in research for shade-avoidance signalling and monochromatic experiments investigating the physiological response to green wavelengths. PPFD is 570.39 µmol/m²/s at 10 cm and 294.37 µmol/m²/s at 15 cm, suitable for growth chamber and research setups isolating the green spectral contribution.
Integration
This fixture is designed as a building block for industrial systems. The modular platform architecture provides different cooling, cover and wavelength variants within a single design; configurations and use cases are detailed in the modular fixture info sheet in the download section.
The 24V CV platform enables fast pulse switching, essential for peak output above nominal power. In pulsed operation, a higher instantaneous irradiance can be achieved than in continuous operation at equal or lower average power — delivering higher efficiency in many applications. Combined with the MaNima Pollux Industry controller, the fixture provides real-time monitoring of current, voltage and temperature, PWM control and pulse control with adjustable pulse times from 2µs to 1000ms. The controller supports Ethernet connectivity for PLC and SCADA integration, UDP, analogue signals, digital contacts and network protocols for seamless connection to existing process controls and machine environments.
