Product description
The LuxaLight LF-24-525-24.2x16-POL is an industrial LED fixture with a peak wavelength of 524 nm (515–530 nm green). The LED engine is mounted on an integrated aluminium heatsink profile and sealed with a polarised PMMA cover.
The polarised cover filters reflections, glare and stray light from glossy or specular surfaces. This increases image contrast for cameras and improves the detectability of edges, structures and surface features in automated inspection. The polarisation provides a defined light orientation tuned to camera-driven detection, where unpolarised light introduces too much noise.
Applications
Machine vision and camera-driven inspection — At a working distance of 15 cm the fixture delivers 34,120 lx and 68.58 W/m² irradiance, with the polarised cover suppressing reflections on glossy parts. This improves the signal-to-noise ratio of vision cameras and enables more stable edge detection and pattern recognition. The 524 nm peak falls within the high-sensitivity range of many monochrome CMOS sensors.
Industrial inspection and surface analysis — For short-range inspection of metals, plastics or coatings the fixture provides 66,190 lx at 10 cm. Polarisation suppresses direct specular reflection from the surface so that scratches, deformations and print defects become visible rather than being lost in glare.
Monochromatic green for plant research — With 294.37 µmol/m²/s PPFD at 15 cm and 570.39 µmol/m²/s at 10 cm the fixture is suitable for research into canopy penetration, shade-avoidance signalling and monochromatic supplemental lighting. Green light around 525 nm penetrates deeper into a plant canopy than blue or red, making it useful for physiological experiments and stacked cultivation systems.
Integration
This fixture is designed as a building block for industrial systems. The modular platform architecture provides different cooling, cover and wavelength variants within a single design; configurations and use cases are detailed in the modular fixture info sheet in the download section.
The 24V CV platform enables fast pulse switching, essential for peak output above nominal power. In pulsed operation, a higher instantaneous irradiance can be achieved than in continuous operation at equal or lower average power — delivering higher efficiency in many applications. Combined with the MaNima Pollux Industry controller, the fixture provides real-time monitoring of current, voltage and temperature, PWM control and pulse control with adjustable pulse times from 2µs to 1000ms. The controller supports Ethernet connectivity for PLC and SCADA integration, UDP, analogue signals, digital contacts and network protocols for seamless connection to existing process controls and machine environments.
