Product description

The LS12NWCOBWLX4500K combines a neutral-white light point at 4500K with a CRI value of 91, constructed as a waterproof COB strip with 512 LEDs per metre. At 1,800 lumens per metre and a 120° beam angle, this design produces a homogeneous light line without visible point sources — suitable for both architectural indoor applications and demanding wet or outdoor environments such as bathrooms, saunas, terraces, pool edges and garden landscaping. The IP68 rating allows continuous exposure to water and weather conditions.

Key features:

  • Colour temperature 4500K: Neutral white with a slight lean towards cool daylight, bright enough for functional task lighting yet without the pronounced clinical character of 6000K. This colour temperature supports sharp visual detail in work environments, bathrooms, design kitchens and commercial spaces where product presentation and user-oriented lighting converge.
  • CRI 91: High colour rendering index for faithful reproduction of reds, greens and skin tones. In design-critical spaces such as galleries, premium retail and healthcare facilities, materials, products and people's skin tones remain recognisable in their true colour, without the colour distortions that occur at lower CRI values.
  • COB construction with 512 LEDs per metre: Chip-on-Board technology distributes the light source across a continuous phosphor surface rather than across individual LED points. The result is a homogeneous light line without visible hotspots or dots — indispensable in architectural applications where the strip itself remains visible or shines through diffusion profiles.
  • Luminous flux 1,800 lm/m at 120 lm/W: Solid light output per metre combined with efficient energy conversion. The continuous luminous appearance of the COB construction converts this power into a visually even light line, without local peak brightnesses that quickly distract the eye.
  • IP68 with vulcanised silicone sleeve: Full protection against dust and prolonged immersion in water. The vulcanised — not merely extruded — silicone sleeve allows direct exposure to rain, condensation, chlorinated water and UV radiation, making the strip suitable for pool edges, façades, terrace canopies and steam or water-spray environments.
  • Lifetime 70,000 burning hours (L90B20): After 70,000 burning hours, at least 80% of the LEDs retain at least 90% of their original luminous output. At 12 hours of operation per day, this corresponds to over 15 years of continuous use without noticeable degradation of the light point — a conservatively specified failure threshold that translates to an even more generous effective lifetime in practice.
  • BIN 3 SDCM: Tight colour consistency within 3 SDCM between LED segments and across production batches. In continuous light lines, extensions or later replacements, the colour appearance remains visually uniform — critical in design installations where visible colour differences between segments are immediately noticeable.
