TM1814 RGBW digital LED strip

The TM1814 RGBW LED strip is an LED IC that is mainly used in digital segment LED strips. This LED strip has a 5050 LED chip, 72 LEDs per meter and a speed of up to 800kbps. If an LED strip is made up of segments, this reduces the number of digital channels that must be used. This is nice for projects where the number of individual pixels is less important. This is also an excellent solution to reduce the number of digital controllers.

The MaNima Magnus and MaNima Ignis have 3 different options when selecting a TM1814 protocol, namely:

  • TM1814 RGBW 10mA
  • TM1814 RGBW 20mA
  • TM1814 RGBW 30mA

The difference between these options is the current that the IC uses. The higher the current, the higher the light output. Current control means that the strip has less voltage drop.
