Making a LED-strip IP68 waterproof

Waterproof (IP68) LED strips can be used for indoors and outdoors. You can shorten a waterproof strip by simply cutting off the waterproof strip. Keep in mind that the silicone layer that makes the strip waterproof no longer works. It is possible to make it waterproof again.

To make a connection waterproof with waterproof LED strips, a special silicone adhesive is required that does not attack the PCB of the IP68 LED strip. There are also silicone end caps for all types of waterproof LED strips for making a waterproof connection.
